Alex Taylor ne présentera plus la matinale de France Musique
Après une saison à l’antenne de France Musique, Alex Taylor a décidé d’arrêter la présentation de la matinale de la station, rapporte Le Parisien. Une décision qui prendra effet fin juin.
En cause, le rythme imposé. “L’année a été agréable et l’expérience sympathique, mais je n’en peux plus de me lever à 4h30 du matin”, explique-t-il au quotidien. “Je l’ai fait pendant dix ans, cinq ans à “Continentales” sur France 3, puis cinq ans de revue de presse européenne sur France Inter. Mais j’avais 30 ans. Là, j’en ai 53 et je suis crevé, sans vie sociale“.
Alex Taylor pourra donc se consacrer pleinement à son émission “I talk” diffusée sur Euronews. Il envisage également de s’atteler à l’écriture d’un roman.

Le journaliste-animateur britannique Alex Taylor, qui a été le “Monsieur Europe” sur plusieurs médias français dans les années 90, a été enrôlé par France Musique pour animer la tranche matinale à partir du 30 août, a annoncé la radio publique mardi à l’AFP.
“France Musique entend donner une nouvelle orientation à sa matinale en la plaçant résolument au coeur de l’actualité culturelle et musicale française et internationale”, écrit la chaîne musicale classique de Radio France dans un communiqué.
Pour ce “7-9″, Alex Taylor sera accompagné d’Emilie Munera pour la partie musicale de l’émission. De nouveaux rendez-vous et chroniques viendront rythmer ces deux heures de direct, “ouvertes à toutes les musiques”, selon la chaîne. A 8h08, l’émission fera appel à un grand invité (musicien, écrivain, cinéaste, homme politique…) pour trois quarts d’heure d’échanges.
Producteur dans les années 90 de l’émission “Continentales” sur France 3 puis de “Confetti” sur Arte, Alex Taylor a présenté la revue de presse européenne tous les matins sur France Inter, entre 1995 et 2000. “J’ai tenté de parler de l’Europe comme personne ne l’avait fait jusqu’alors, de la rendre sexy”, a expliqué Alex Taylor à l’AFP.
“Là c’est un nouveau défi pour moi : je vais donner un aperçu de l’actualité internationale autrement, en plus de la musique”, a-t-il poursuivi. “Cela m’enchante de proposer un nouveau ton pour le matin, pour les stressés de l’info”, a ajouté Alex Taylor, qui se présente comme “journaliste européen” et dit “s’intéresser à la musique sans être un spécialiste”.

Euronews spreads his network and offers itself Alex Taylor
The chain of international information Euronews will spread his network while opening in 2011 eleven offices through the world, with always a marked accent on Europe, announced the leaders of the chain Tuesday. “It is the European values that we reflect, but we are not the voice of Brussels, but rather a chain made in Europe”, underlined the president of the board of directors, Philippe Cayla, at the time of a press conference. Facing the competition of the “70 indexed chains of information in Europe”, “we are the only multilingual chain, with a multicultural compilation and a world-wide distribution, that carries an European look on the world-wide current event”, it added. After Brussels (20 people), Cairo and Doha, Euronews will be present equally in a manner permanent to London, Paris and Kiev (local compilation) but also Istanbul, Dubaï, Washington and Peking. Will follow notably in 2012, Such Aviv and Astana, to the Kazakhstan. The chain, that receives subsidies of the European Commission, will equally add one 11E broadcasting language to his arch, the Ukrainian, August 24. “The European Commission has besides recognized to the chain Euronews a mission of public service thanks to Viviane Reding (European commissioner to Justice, editor’s note)”, from which “a facilitated financing”, specified to the AFP Philippe Cayla.
